A Case of Idiopathic Hypoparathyroidism

Abstract
|
|
|
This is to report a case of idiopathic hypoparathyroidism, who has been admitted to the Seoul Red Cross Hospital.
The patient was a 32-year-old female, who has had 2 years history of numbness and cramps of the extremities, face and carpopedal spasm. Physical examination showed positive Chvostek´s and Trousseau´s signs and laboratory data revealed hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia and negative Sulkowitch test. Clinical symptoms and signs improved with supplementary calcium and Dihydrotachysterol therapy.
